How do I configure additional user accounts?

Sub-user accounts allow the primary account holder to create additional sets of login credentials on the same DNS Made Easy account. These additional login's can be permitted different permissions with access to only certain domains or different permissions with access to different parts of the DNS Made Easy control panel.

The availability of sub-user account functionality is based on membership level.

Small Business Memberships do not have the option of purchasing additional user accounts. Business Memberships do not include additional sub-user accounts by default, however they can be purchased as an add-on. This can be purchased through the web control panel by selecting the "Account - Purchase Services" menu. Corporate Memberships are provided with 10 free sub-users with the ability to purchase additional if required.

A tutorial for the configuration of sub user account functionality is available on our tutorial website.

It is important to note, our sub-user accounts were designed with IT organizations in mind rather than customer access. So this functionality is not designed as a white-box solution for reselling DNS Made Easy services. Sub-user accounts can see all of the items in the Purchased Services and Usage table within the account. In addition, there are no limitations on subconfigurations that a sub-user account can add to domains to which they have access (GTD, DNS Failover, etc.) - if the service has been purchased and is available within the account, then it can be configured.

Also, if you are allowing a customer access to your DNS Made Easy account via a sub-user account, then you will want to make certain that you implement and verify the correct permissions for that account.
