Why are my vanity name servers not public?
Posted by Devon Roberts on 15 May 2015 04:25 PM

Public Vanity NS configurations are set up by DNS Made Easy and made available to all customers who would like to use them. These Vanity NS configurations are different combinations of our Public name server names.

Vanity NS configurations created by client's in their own DNS Made Easy accounts are marked "private" as they display only in the DNS Made Easy account of the client who created them. Public does not mean "available on the internet" in this case.

We have a tutorial for Public Vanity NS that explains some of the uses of these configurations on our help website.
