Does DNS Made Easy support load balancing?
Posted by Darren Radsmith on 08 August 2004 01:12 PM

DNS Made Easy supports a few types of load blanancing.

Traditional round robin load balancing is the creation of multiple A records with the same name and different IP addresses. Traffic is split evenly between those hosts.

Round robin load balancing can also be configured with DNS Failover to build redundancy into a round robin configuration. If one of the hosts fails, traffic is redistributed to the remaining hosts. You can locate a tutorial for this configuration here.

Finally, round robin can be configured with the Global Traffic Director geo-based DNS service. This configuration allows you to load balance traffic differently based on region.
