My domain name is being appended to my record value, why is this happening?

Please end the value field of the record with a dot (.). If you do not end your value with a dot your domain name will automatically be appended to it. This can be viewed in real-time as you are editing the records. If a dot is added at the end of the value, it will remove the trailing domain name.

This is normal DNS naming conventions and DNS Made Easy keeps them for the benefit of our users. This allows users to copy configs from domain to domain and also apply record set templates to domains very easily.

If you ever have any questions like this click on the "Help" button that is found for every record entry screen. This will explain each and every field and even have full examples (some with videos) that you can view the records being entered into the DNS Made Easy system.
