DigiCert DNS Nameserver Transition

As of August 31st 2022, all newly added domains to DigiCert DNS Made Easy will, by default, be assigned to DigiCert DNS labeled name servers. This change is being made as a result of the recent acquisition of DNS Made Easy by DigiCert, Inc.

The DigiCert DNS labeled name servers and IP addresses are fully integrated through the existing global DNS Made Easy infrastructure (AS 16552) at all international points of presence. Legacy DNS Made Easy names and IP addresses will continue to operate without issue.

All existing domains within the system will not change assigned name servers and will be unaffected by this transition.

If a current DigiCert DNS Made Easy customer prefers to use the legacy DNSMadeEasy.com labeled name servers. This can be accomplished using the following options:

  • Select a Public Vanity DNS configuration, which includes legacy DNS Made Easy labeled name servers, when creating the domain.

  • If a domain name has been created and assigned to DigiCert DNS labeled name servers, you can assign a legacy Public Vanity DNS, which includes legacy DNS Made Easy labeled name servers, to the domain in our system.

  • If a customer prefers legacy DNS Made Easy labeled name servers to be the default for newly added domains, then they can make an account specific Vanity DNS configuration and set it to be the default for all domain creations. (see tutorial below if you prefer this option)

Tutorial : Switching to Legacy DNS Made Easy Labeled Name Server

  • 1. Select Advanced, then Click on Vanity Nameservers

  • 2. Click the Plus Sign (+) to add a new configuration.

  • A) Give an Identifiable name for your new configuration.

  • B) Set the Vanity Name server Configurations to Default

  • C) Select the name server grouping your configuration should apply to from the drop-down menu.
