Overview
DNS Made Easy allows you to export DNS records from any domain in your account. This tutorial will walk you through the process.
Common Use Case For Exporting DNS Records
Exporting DNS records is beneficial for creating backups of your current configurations. It is also useful for cloning records for use on other nameservers.
Prerequisites
- You have added at least one domain in your DNS Made Easy account
- You have configured records for a domain
How to Export Multiple DNS Records in DNS Made Easy
1. Navigate to Managed DNS
After logging in to the DNS Made Easy dashboard, select Managed DNS from the DNS menu at the top of the page.
2. Select the Domain You Want to Export Records For
In the Managed DNS portal, type the domain name in the Enter domain name field. You can also select it from the Recently Updated Domains list. To view every domain in your account, click See All.
3. Navigate to Reporting
Once you have clicked on the appropriate domain, you will be on the domain’s record page. Click on the Reporting tab.
4. Select File Type and Export
In the Reporting tab, choose the file type you want and then click Export.
After clicking Export, a download prompt will appear and you can save the file to your device.
